We keep a standing brief in each one, and an advisor who lives there. That is usually how a house reaches us before it reaches a portal.
Do most of your houses appear on the register?
No. A good share of what we transact is never published at all. The register shows the houses an owner is content to have seen; the rest we discuss only with buyers we already know.
How do you work with a buyer?
One advisor, from the first conversation to the keys. They live in the market you are looking at, they see every house before you do, and nothing is handed along halfway.
How long does a search usually take?
Longer than a portal would suggest. Eight to fourteen months is common for a specific brief. We would rather you waited for the right house than bought the available one.
Can you look for something that is not on the register?
That is most of what we do. Tell us the brief - the place, the aspect, the acreage, the things that actually matter to you - and we will go and ask on your behalf, quietly.
